Below normal temps aren't
enough to keep famed actress and singer Julie Andrews from spending a few weeks
in Saint Paul.
She is in town to direct "The Boy Friend" at the Ordway.
The play was the first one Andrews did in America and this is her directorial
debut.
Saint Paul is honoring the film and stage star by changing the
name of Washington Street, in front of the Ordway, to "Julie Andrews Lane"
during the run of the play. Saint Paul city officials also presented Andrews
with the key to Saint Paul.
"The Boy Friend" opens Tuesday night.
