A tribute to Broadway's Grand
Dames, honoring Ethel Merman, Julie Andrews, Angela Lansbury, Bernadette Peters,
Barbra Streisand, Carol Channing, Lisa Minnelli, Audra McDonald and Mary Martin,
this delightful Broadway style revue will feature five great singers and four
musicians, and will bring these Legendary Ladies to life on the stage at 7:30
p.m. Feb. 23 at the Bartlesville Community Center. The performance is sponsored
by the Bartlesville Community Concert Association.

Merman, Barbara Streisand, Bernadette Peters, Julie Andrews, Carol Channing,
Mary Martin - they all had a song that propelled them to stardom. Find out what
these legends are made of in this extraordinary tribute to a dozen of Broadway's
Grand Dames. Revisit those unforgettable moments in musical theatre history as
five sensational singers, with a back-up band of four, take the audience on a
tour of Broadway's best in an extravaganza of stories and songs about the stars
we idolize.
The audience will experience everything from famous
showstoppers to gorgeous ballads, all presented in a stage setting with sets,
beautiful dresses, and a great band consisting of piano, accordion, bass and
drums.
Songs from these ghit showsh will be heard in this fabulous
production: Call Me Madam, Annie Get Your Gun, Sound of Music, Music Man, Hello
Dolly, Camelot, My Fair Lady, Funny Girl, Evita, Ragtime, Lion King, Cats and
Chicago.
This show, which premiered at the Loring Playhouse in
Minneapolis a year ago to great reviews, features several singers - including
Jody Briskey, Michelle Carter, Ann Michels, Susan Yeager and Patty Nieman - who
perform songs made famous by Broadway divas. Minneapolis producer Perrin Post
created and directs the show, which garnered good critical and box-office
response in its original staging. Musical direction is by David Lohman and
choreography by Michael Matthew Ferrell.
