The York Theatre Company's Musical Conversations series continues July 11 with an evening devoted to the late Fanny Brice.
The 7 PM discussion is the first of four celebrating "The Leading Ladies." The series of summer talks Ehosted by John Kenrick, a musical theatre lover who created Musicals101.com Ewill also focus on Mary Martin (July 18), Julie Andrews (July 25) and Angela Lansbury (Aug. 1).
During the July 11 discussion, Kenrick, according to press notes, will "separate fact from fiction, as he dissects 'Funny Girl' and 'Funny Lady' Etwo bio-musicals about Fanny Brice. He unearth this legendary talented true story, including her rise to fame in Ziegfeld Follies, her rocky marriages to Nick Arnstein and Billy Rose, and her triumphant career on stage, screen and radio."
