The York Theatre Company's Musical Conversations series continues July 25 with an evening devoted to stage and screen icon Julie Andrews.

The 7 PM discussion is the third of four celebrating "The Leading Ladies." The series of summer talks ・hosted by John Kenrick, a musical theatre lover who created Musicals101.com ・also focused on Fanny Brice (July 11) and Mary Martin (July 18) and will conclude on Aug. 1 with a discussion about Tony Award winner Angela Lansbury.

During the July 25 discussion, Kenrick, according to press notes, will discuss "what keeps [Andrews'] fame evergreen, and what lies ahead for this unique star."

Julie Andrews ・who was born in Surrey, England ・starred on Broadway in the original productions of The Boyfriend, My Fair Lady and Camelot, the stage version of Victor/Victoria, and in the Off- Broadway Stephen Sondheim revue, Putting It Together. She won an Academy Award for her work in "Mary Poppins" and Oscar nominations for "The Sound of Music" and "Victor/Victoria."
